I had the craziest dream last night! It was so vivid, so real, and very scary. Here it is:
We (my family) were staying at a hotel, as we were on vacation. The boys went off to do something, and my girls wanted to go to the pool to swim. I told the girls they could go swimming, and after I was done with my homework, I would meet them at the pool. They left.
Time passed, and I decided to go down to the pool to swim with them, but when I got to the pool area, nobody was there. The entire place was empty. I was concerned, and began looking around for any signs that my girls had been there at all. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something blue at the bottom of the pool. It was a little girl in a blue swimsuit, face down at the bottom of the pool. I CAN’T SWIM UNDERWATER. In real life, and in my dream, I have never been able to swim underwater.
But, I knew I had to get this girl out of the bottom of the pool. I was the only one in the pool area! So, I jumped in feet first, keeping my body straight, and praying I could make it to the bottom of the deepest end of the pool. I felt her swimsuit, grabbed it, and pulled the drowned girl to the top. I tossed her limp body over the edge of the pool onto the floor. I jumped out of the pool, and began to give her CPR. It seemed like forever, repeating compressions with breaths, and nothing. This poor little girl was not moving.
Then a woman comes bursting into the pool area, screaming “that is my sister’s kid!” I told her about how I found her at the bottom of the pool, pulled her out, and have been giving her CPR for a while. The woman grabbed the girl’s lifeless body, and rocked her as she cried. I was sobbing, telling this lady “I tried to save her, I tried!” She told me I was a hero, but I told her I wasn’t, because the girl was not alive.
The girl’s mother came into the pool area, and thanked me for saving her daughter’s life. I looked at her confused, because I didn’t save her. I just pulled her from the pool. Her mother began patting her on the back, and continued to tell me how grateful she was that I found her. And just like that, the girl began coughing, and appeared unharmed….and alive.
I watched girl, her mom, and her aunt walk out of the pool area, just as my whole family came into the room. I told them, “You’ll never believe what just happened!” And I proceeded to tell them all of the events that just transpired.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???? It was one of the most vivid dreams I have had in a long time.
